Who uses Graston?

The Graston Technique is a well-known form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization offered by certified Elma chiropractors, PT’s, massage therapists, and DO’s.

What is Graston Technique?

It involves a simple set of stainless steel instruments designed with concave/convex beveled edges.  We have come to learn over the last 10 years that flat edges are actually better and more efficient than the curved edges.  These instruments are used to break down scar tissue (more specifically fibrous adhesion) found in the fascia, muscles, tendons and ligaments.

What does Graston Technique fix?

Have you ever suffered from tennis elbow?  How about shin splints?  Do you get numbness/tingling in your hands from carpal tunnel syndrome?  How about that pesky knee pain that just won’t go away?  All of these, and many more conditions, are treatable using this style of soft tissue mobilization.

Is Graston Technique the best for me?

As with any product or procedure, newer and better treatments like the Graston Technique become available as our cumulative knowledge of the human body grows.  Two other examples of modern methodology that practitioners who wish to offer the absolute best care available are Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization and Instrument Adhesion Release.  Instrument Adhesion Release is THE best instrument assisted soft tissue treatment available at this time.
